What's the only thing that can heal the flu? Marvin Gaye and chicken soup. And a great book while I write a few more ideas for upcoming blog posts. Thank God it's Friday.

A friend of mine is taking a course on the history of music, and this book came up in the syllabus, "Cowboys and Indies: The Epic History of the Record Industry." I was instantly reminded of this platform, and realized TONS OF YOU would love it!!! Amazon is selling it, but you can find it anywhere online and some of the major book stores, and here's the Amazon link. :) https://www.amazon.com/Cowboys-Indies-History-Record-Industry/dp/1250043379

10 degrees and raining. What's new Seattle? Guess, there's nothing better to do than play my guitar and pretend to be working. :P

Listening to the Cranberries' album No Need to Argue, and remembering the first moment I heard Dolores' insanely unique voice. Epic.

Questions for all of you in whatever part of the U.S. you're located: What are your favorite indie bands in all genres? Which bands are you just starving to see live in concert? and...what are some of your favorite venues in Seattle, specifically, for indie shows? Cheers! Working on compiling more blogs to help indie lovers and artists and would love your feedback.

Thank God it's Friday and for Witch Ripper and other bands (Cloud Catcher, Hundred Loud, Infinite Flux) at the Substation tonight in Seattle. Blessing a witch never felt so damn good. ;) This should be a sick show. My friends have seen them live and went home with their ears ringing, buzzing like mad. If you haven't seen these guys live, I think you'll appreciate this one. Here's the link: http://www.thestranger.com/events/25415781/witch-ripper-cloud-catcher-hundred-loud-infinite-flux /> Friday, baby. YEAH.

Prep for an evening gig with Radiance's "Soft Machine" playing in the background for inspiration. A must-listen indie pop album - love, love, love: https://www.myindieland.com/mirandavukasovic/products/soft-machine Tonight: chic vegan cocktail birthday party to cater for this evening. On the menu: warm tofu salad with balsamic vinaigrette, amazing variety of appetizers using whole grains and the freshest herbs and veggies, sweet potato and pumpkin soup, avocado and vanilla coconut cream ice cream and so much more!! Delish. Here's the ice cream recipe that's inspired me: http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/avocado-ice-cream-2/7d9b76a7-7059-4631-99a9-831f8c20ec15

I try to think about tomorrow But I always think about the past About the things that didn't last If I could go to the beginning Then for sure I would be another way Make it better for today If I could go to the beginning I would be another way Make it better for today -The Pixies...(one of my absolute favorite bands). And If I look back, on all my mistakes, all my wrongs, I realize how I could have done things better, without a doubt. But, I'm blessed, because every day is a new beginning.

Looking for a great anniversary gift for my lady friend. :) About 35 years old, love death metal and rock, (like me), and isn't the most adventurous, but loves romantic getaways. What say you? Dinner and a music show, or a surprise weekend away at a quiet cottage. I'm inclined to go with the second option considering we haven't been away for a long time. Ladies, what would knock you off your feet? Any other suggestions to curb her enthusiasm? It's been 10 years since we first started our relationship, and with everything we've been through together, I'm pretty proud about how far we've come. Musical or music-related gift ideas are DEFINITELY welcome! appreciated.

Started working on a funky but hard hitting riff. Minor key, a bit of angst released after a long week. My Saturday is started out with my favorite outlet - jamming and writing.
